About

Rich, had to take a fine art class in order to graduate high school, he took photography and realized that's what he wanted to do in life. His photography journey started in Mammoth Lakes where he opened a small photography shop, there he developed his eye shooting weddings, landscapes, portraits, then onto commercial work for LA designers that wanted to use Mammoth as a backdrop. Then on to Orange Country CA. to open a studio where over time he shot for some of the largest company's in the OC, photographing both in and out of the studio. Realizing that he enjoyed the challenge of shooting on location over studio, then given the chance to shoot his first annual report changed everything. He closed down the studio and started getting assignments photographing world wide for some of the largest corporations in the world.

Recently taking up surfing Rich realized it could be fun to try and capture the local surf culture and create art work from his photographs that would look more like pop art rather than straight photography. Printing very large, bright bold colors on Giclee canvas prints then Gallery wrapping them gave him the look he wanted. But why stop there, Rich is now traveling to close by locations and capturing creative images that show off the local beach cities and culture, he is also incorporating this technique into his industrial images.
